Dhanush and Vidhya are in race to be a Sexiest Vegetarian of 2011

The "KOLAVERI DI" star "DHANUSH" may be a sexiest vegetarian of 2011 and stands in list of celebrities from across the world like Shahid Kapoor, Lara Dutta, Amrita Rao, R Madhavan, Anil Kumble from Our country and Pamela Anderson, Sir Paul McCartney, Tobey Maguire, Carrie Underwood, and Natalie Portman from Hollywood.

Another names announced by "PETA" are Kareena Kapoor, Hema Malini, Sonu Sood, Ayesha Takia are also in the competition. Dhanush and Vidya Balan have taken early leads in the vegetarian celebrity contest.But Result will be decided by Public Vote.

"PETA" India Chief Functionary "Poorva Joshipura" said, "From Bollywood to Hollywood, the world's kindest and most gorgeous celebrities are adopting a healthy, humane vegetarian diet."

The winners will be chosen based on the number of votes each receives and it will be announced in January.

Big B gets Best Maharashtrian Award

Shaikh Nasir was awarded for his outstanding contribution in the field of Entertainment.

Others who bagged the award include Dilip Kumar, Amitabh Bacchan and a host of others from Maharashtra who had performed excellently in their respective fields.

Shaikh Nasir, the film producer has been conferred the Maharashtrian of the Year award by popular Marathi newspaper Lokmat a week ago.

The award to Shaikh Nasir was conferred by the President of India(Mrs. Pratibhatai Patil) in a glittering ceremony held in Mumbai Wednesday.

Lokmat had short listed the Maharashtrian achievers, celebrities and unsung heroes in the field of entertainment, culture, science, literature, social service, art and politics and had put the list for voting through SMSes and online forums before finalizing the awardees. It also published their profiles with pictures in the newspapers to encourage readers for voting.
