Pakistani actress Veena Malik wants to marry on Imagine channel TV show "Veena Ka Vivah". But due to quick shutdown of channel Imagine TV put Veena in shock.

“Imagine TV has not performed and grown as per expectations ... overall the channel was unable to achieve the ratings consistency needed to sustain the business and support continued investment. As a result, Turner made the carefully considered decision to cease operations of the channel,” Siddharth Jain, Managing Director, said in a statement.

While some of the primetime shows on the channel included Chandragupta Maurya, Sawaare Sabke Sapne - Preeto and Mi Aaji Aur Saheb, Veena Ka Vivaah which one receive no. of applications more than past seasons.

Veena Malik Missing

Pakistani actress model Veena Malik has gone missing in Mumbai from s days. Shooting for new upcoming film "Mumbai 125 kilometres", at Film City in Mumbai, Malik left in a car after pack-up Friday . and then manager Pratiek Mehta said he received a text from Malik saying she was ill and depressed.

She had complained of feeling depressed, but also was the subject of death threats over the photos.

Mr Mehta said "I have been trying to reach her since yesterday, but have failed. I have approached the officials at Bandra police station and have sought help in finding the whereabouts of Veena."

However, the police at Bandra said she had not officially been reported as a missing person..

The film’s director Hemant Madhukar said: "Veena left after the pack-up yesterday (Friday) morning. In the afternoon, I received an SMS from her where she apologised for not being able to concentrate on the shooting, stating that she was disturbed.

Veena learns to swear from sex workers

Pakistani actor cum model Veena Malik is taking her filmy role seriously.

Set to play a sex-worker in director Rajiv Ruia’s Zindagi 50/50, Malik recently spent two days at Grant Road in a bid to get into the skin of her character. “I was introduced to that character on whose life the film is based. Ispent two days with her and her colleagues to get an insight into their life,” says Veena.

Zindagi 50/50 is the story of three girls—a sex-worker, a struggling actor and a slum dweller.

Veena was apparently offered the other two roles, but she insisted on playing the sex-worker. “Madhuri’s character instantly drew my interest. I thought this character would allow me to exhibit my acting caliber. I was told that it was not an imaginary character. I convinced Rajiv that I could do it,” recalls Veena,.

She adds that being around her subjects has helped her evolve as an actor. “If I hadn’t met them I would have portrayed barely 10 percent of their lives. I grasped their attitude, body language and the slangs they used. I heard their diction and learnt how they cussed others,” she reveals. Apart from Zindagi 50/50, Veena has shot an item number in Riteish Deshmukh-Genelia D’Souza starrer, Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya, which releases in February. She will also be seen in Daal Mein Kuchh Kala Hain, which she has completed shooting. “The other two that I have signed will go on floors next year,” adds Veena who will also have a swayamvar next year.
